Work With Me

You don’t have to figure out feeding alone. Let’s find the right kind of support for your family.

Every family I work with comes to me at a different point in their feeding journey. Some are in crisis — mealtimes are daily battles and their child’s food list is shrinking. Some are proactive — starting solids and wanting to do it right from day one. Some are somewhere in between — sensing something is off but not sure what kind of help they need.

Wherever you are, there is a right level of support for you. Let’s find it.

Is Feeding Therapy Right For My Child?

Feeding therapy is clinical intervention — it goes beyond tips and strategies and addresses underlying sensory, oral motor, or behavioral components that are getting in the way of eating. Here are some signs that a feeding evaluation may be the right next step:

Your child may benefit from a feeding evaluation if:
They accept fewer than 20 different foods — and that list is getting shorter over time
They gag, vomit, or have extreme distress reactions to new foods or textures
They have never been able to eat certain textures — crunchy, mixed, or lumpy foods
Mealtimes regularly end in meltdowns, crying, or complete shutdown
They have been diagnosed with autism, sensory processing disorder, or another condition affecting eating
They have oral motor challenges — difficulty chewing, moving food around the mouth, or swallowing
Their growth or nutrition is being affected by their limited food intake
Your pediatrician has expressed concern about their feeding development
Your gut is telling you something is more than just picky eating

If several of these resonate, a feeding evaluation is a good place to start. An evaluation helps us understand the why behind the feeding challenges and creates a roadmap for where to go from there.

Living Outside California? How to Find a Feeding Specialist Near You

If you are outside California and need clinical feeding therapy rather than coaching, here is how to find a qualified provider near you:

  • Ask your pediatrician for a referral to a pediatric occupational therapist or speech-language pathologist who specializes in feeding
  • Contact your regional center or early intervention program — most states have programs similar to California’s Regional Center that provide funded services for eligible children
  • Search AOTA’s OT finder at aota.org to find a licensed occupational therapist with feeding specialization in your area
  • Search ASHA’s ProFind at asha.org to find a speech-language pathologist who specializes in pediatric feeding
  • Ask specifically about SOS Feeding Approach or GET Permission trained therapists — these are specialized feeding frameworks that align with the pressure-free philosophy I use
  • Look for feeding clinics at children’s hospitals in your area — many have multidisciplinary feeding teams
